Attributed to A. Elmer Crowell (1962-1952 Massachusetts) Shore Bird Wood Decoy 10x11''. An early carved and painted wood Willet bird decoy on driftwood stand. Small crack with paint chip to neck. Some paint flaking off of beak. Tape label on bottom reads ''Crowell''. Late 19th or early 20th century. From the family collection of Willis F. Woods, former director at the Detroit Institute of Arts and Executive Director at the Seattle Art Museum (1974-1979).
