Smith made circa 1670. Nakago is 8'' long with one mekugi-ana and mostly black rust.'' It has a gold inlaid iron fuchi and copper tsuba bearing Kodzuka-ana and Kakihan seals (18th cent.). Lacquered wood scabbard (split with some chipping). Blade has been dulled. Edo period.
