Chinese Jiaqing Elephant and Scholars Dish 7.5''x1.25''. Unusual gilt and polychrome enameled dish with a band of scholars and elephant in landscape. Gold gilt rim. Red enameled Jiaqing zhuanshu seal mark and of the period. Slight glaze rub lower left in farmer's coat. Overall excellent condition, examined under blacklight. 18th/19th century, Qing dynasty.
