Provenance from the family, "Our grandparents lived in the Philippines for six years during the 1950's. Our grandfather was in the United States Navy, supervising the building of the American Cemetery and Memorial in Manila for military dead from World War II. We have been told over the years that our grandparents purchased these paintings directly from the artist. They have been in the family ever since."
